How much does Zozobra weigh? About 1600 lbs.

What is Zozobra made of? Wood, wire, poultry netting, muslin (unbleached), nails, screws, pulleys, plywood, shredded paper, spray paint, pizza pans and duct tape!

When is Gloom Sign Up? Auditions and sign up for Gloomies is Saturday, August, 27th, Fort Marcy Park (at the Zozobra Pole on Murales Road) 9 AM. Proof of age required and a parent or legal chaperone will need to accompany the child.

How old do children need to be in order to become a Gloom?Gloomies are ages 10 to 14.

When is Zozobra next year? The 2012 Burning of Will Shuster's Zozobra is Thursday, September 6th, 2012. Zozobra is always on the Thursday following Labor Day! Labor Day in 2012 is on Monday, the 3rd of September. In the United States, Labor Day is always celebrated on the first Monday in September.

Is there parking at the venue or the neighborhood? There are 40 handicap spaces on a first come basis but there is no parking anywhere else within a four block radius. Most people walk to the event from downtown and the plaza and a park and ride program operates from the bus line locations and the Rail Runner.

Can I bring food and drink into the venue? Food can be brought into the venue and all packages are searched for Alcohol which is prohibited. No glass containers are allowed.

Is there food available? There are over 12 different food vendors including roasted corn, burritos and the other usual items. The local high school Key Clubs will supply bottled water and Coke and candy products.

Can I bring pets? No, only assistance dogs are allowed.

Can I bring lawn chairs or ladders? No, and strollers are strongly discouraged. Small folding Plastic Canvas camping chairs are allowed. (no metal)

Will Zozobra sell out? No, Tickets are available up to the burn time at Dusk or up to 8:15 PM

How many people attended last year? Approximately 23,000!

What happens if it rains? We let it... Will Shuster's Zozobra is a Rain or Shine event.

Can I bring things to put in Zozobra? Yes, a gloom box is placed near the TV stage at the Lost and Found KBAC Tent and most people bring Notes, Divorce decrees and other legal papers, photos and other flammable mementos. No dangerous items are allowed. The items are placed in Zozobra right before show time. A Gloom box is also located at the SF Reporter Offices on Marcy Street during the month of August.

RULES and REGULATIONS - Please read carefully: ALL PERSONS AND PERSONAL ITEMS SUBJECT TO SEARCH PRIOR TO ENTRY; ITEMS SUCH AS COOLERS, BABY BAGS, LARGE PURSES, ETC. I don't have a computer or I don't want to buy tickets online! No problem! We have an easy fix for you. You can buy tickets on the plaza most Monday through Thursday evenings during "Music on the Plaza" events. We will also have tickets for sale Labor Day weekend at out ticket booth on the plaza in front of 1st National Bank building.

How do I get my online tickets? Tickets are delivered within moments to your email address. If you have a smart phone, and receive email at the address you want your tickets delivered to on your phone, you can keep the email on your phone. Included on the ticket will be a QR smart code that can be scanned directly off your phone, no paper no fuss.

What if the last answer made no sense to me? No worries, if you don't have a smart phone or that last answer didn't really make sense you should print your tickets and keep them in a safe place.

What if I lost my email, my email didn't get delivered or I lost my printed tickets? No problem, this is an easy fix. Follow this link And use the "HELP AND SUPPORT" blue tab button on the left side of the page. Provide the security information required and your tickets can be recovered.

What if that doesn't work? Send an email to , help@holdmyticket.com and the team at HoldMyTicket can help you out.

What if I am having ticket problems and just want to talk to a live person? Also and easy fix, Follow this link HoldMyTIcket has phone support.

What if they don't respond or that doesn't work? The team at HoldMyTicket have been very responsive and easy to work with, give them a chance to get back to you. If after 24 hours you haven't heard from them email us at tickets@kiwanis-sf.org and we'll give them a call. Please give the guys at HoldMyTicket first shot at fixing things; they're the computer experts who have designed this great and easy to use ticket system.

Can I just "Will Call" my tickets? Nope. All tickets are delivered immediately to your email address.

What if I print 1000 copies of my ticket and give them to my friends? Each ticket has a unique security barcode. As soon as YOUR barcode is scanned it is taken out of service and anyone trying to use YOUR barcode will not be allowed to enter until they purchase their own UNIQUE barcoded ticket.
